About Me

A Technologist at Heart — Bridging Infrastructure and Innovation Through Code

I’m Cleon Green — a seasoned IT professional and software developer with over 25 years of hands-on experience across infrastructure support, systems engineering, and custom software solutions. My passion for technology began with software development during my first year of college, and that passion has never faded.

My Career Journey

From the very beginning, I was drawn to the creative problem-solving that software development offered. In 2005, I was honored to be part of a four-person team representing the Caribbean region in the Microsoft Imagine Cup — a global software development competition. It was a defining moment that solidified my love for building tools that make life and work easier.

However, full-time career opportunities at the time were more readily available in IT infrastructure, and I embraced them. I built a strong foundation working with enterprise networks, virtualized environments, and cloud services — gaining valuable skills and certifications that would serve me well across all areas of IT.

Throughout this time, I actively sought out opportunities to write code: scripting deployments, building custom reporting tools, automating daily tasks, and eventually developing full-stack web applications for clients and internal use.

What Sets Me Apart

Built for Both Worlds
I combine deep infrastructure experience with a developer’s mindset — understanding both how systems are built and how software runs on them.

Decades of Versatility
Whether troubleshooting a network outage or writing a patient check-in app, I approach problems with clarity, efficiency, and focus.

Project-Driven Results
I’ve independently led projects from concept to deployment — collaborating across teams and adapting to real-world needs.

Today, I’m focused on continuing my career in software development — building impactful, reliable, and user-centered applications. My experience enables me to bring a unique perspective to teams, especially in projects that require an understanding of both backend systems and user-facing functionality.
